Homes for All Veterans (HAV)
Watch a news report or read a news article about Homes for All Veterans! Veterans struggling to find or keep a roof over their heads now have additional resources thanks to a grant awarded to Denver Options by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The grant funding allows Denver Options to provide outreach, emergency assistance and case management resources to over 500 homeless or at-risk veterans and their families throughout the state of Colorado. Supportive Services Our statewide program provides a wide range of supportive services designed to promote housing stability and alleviate chronic homelessness. Services include assistance with:
Program Eligibility U.S. military veterans who have served at least one day of active duty or a family in which the head of household or the spouse is a veteran, who are considered very low income, and who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless are generally considered eligible. Additionally, veterans must not have been dishonorably discharged. Case managers will meet with veterans and their families around the state to determine eligibility and provide services. |
