Denver Options Holds Forum on SLS & CES Changes (Updated!)

The Division for Developmental Disabilities and the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing have announced significant changes in the Supported Living Services program. As a result of these changes, 259 people of the 343 serviced in this program will experience a reduction in the total dollars that are available to purchase services. Others will be impacted by the reduction in rates or hours of service that may be purchased.

As of July 1, 2009, services that were previously funded based on a negotiated rate with the providers will now be funded based on an assessment score using the Supports Intensity Scale (SIS).  This means that rates that are paid to providers are no longer negotiable.

This new system for determining rates and caps is very complex and can better be explained through face-to-face discussions. Therefore, Denver Options will be holding a forum for discussion regarding these changes and Denver Options efforts to influence them.

The Forum will be held on:

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009
6:30 to 8:30PM
Denver Options
9900 E Iliff Ave, Denver, CO 80231
